Nikesh Maharjan, 19, was trained in mobile repairing with the help of World Vision two years ago. Today he has a shop where he sells and repairs mobiles.

Nikesh goes to college in the morning and works in his shop situated in Lalitpur in the afternoon. He shares that he has become self-reliant.

After opening the shop and starting a business he has realised the value of money and hard work.

He also feels the attitude of his family towards him has changed and they are happy to see him doing something on his own. “I can study and take care of my expenses on my own and do not have to ask my parents for money any more so I am very satisfied with my work.” shares Nikesh.

“Who wouldn’t be proud to have a son who is doing well and so responsible at his age? Most importantly he chose to do it and he is happy, this is what makes me happy and proud of him.” says his mother, Laxmi Maharjan. She has been working as a weaver in a carpet factory to support the family income and raise her children.
