Child participation in community summits

Children from four Village Development Committees (VDC) in Doti district work to prepare a vision poster for their communities in a Community Summit.

39 children took part in a Community Summit organised by World Vision in Kalikasthan VDC, Doti district to summarise and prioritise child well being issues collected by them after they held group conversations with their counterparts in their own communities. As a result a community vision statement poster and statement was developed.

Community Conversations and Community Summits form an integral part of World Vision's Integrated Programming Model, a new approach for implementing development programme, which is being piloted in Doti Area Development Programme(ADP).
