CMAM

World Vision Niger is expanding its work in CMAM into an additional 21 health institutions – including village health centres – to try and prevent an increase in childhood malnutrition.
The USAID-funded project seeks to help severely and moderately malnourished children, under the age of five, and to treat pregnant and lactating mothers. Children found to be affected are put on a programme of supplementary feeding with fortified food items and are monitored until they regain an acceptable weight.
