World Vision Ghana and the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly are strengthening collaboration to improve urban development, WASH, child protection and community wellbeing.

World Vision marks the successful conclusion of its 16-year South Hebron Area Programme, celebrating lasting partnerships and sustainable development for children.

At EP Gihango Primary School, the WASH and Nutrition Club is empowering children to become leaders in the fight against malnutrition. When Violette struggled to access school meals, club members mobilized their parents to raise funds for her and seven other children, demonstrating remarkable compassion and leadership. Supported by World Vision Rwanda's ENOUGH Campaign and partners, the club is proving that children can be powerful agents of change, helping create healthier families, stronger communities, and a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Adolphe’s remarkable recovery from severe undernutrition highlights the transformative impact of World Vision Rwanda’s Professional Umuganda initiative. After being identified as underweight during community nutrition screening, he received support through the Iziko rehabilitation programme, where his caregiver gained practical knowledge on nutrition, hygiene, and childcare. Today, Adolphe is a healthy, active child a testament to the power of community-led action. His story reflects the broader success of Professional Umuganda in Rutsiro District, where collaboration among health workers, local leaders, and community members has helped reduce the prevalence of underweight children from 33% to 20% between December 2024 and April 2026, advancing the ENOUGH Campaign’s goal of ensuring every child survives, grows, and thrives.

Lusaka District, Zambia – 12th August 2026 – World Vision Zambia, in partnership with the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation, Forum for African Women Educationalists of Zambia (FAWEZA), the Ministry of Education, and, with support from the Qatar Fund for Development, proudly announces the successful completion of the Empowering Vulnerable Children with Education (EVE) Project.  Over a three-year period, the EVE project has transformed the educational journey of thousands of vulnerable children in Namwala District by promoting retention, equity, and access to quality primary education.
