First Aid Training For Guadalcanal Disaster Committees

Village Disaster Response Committee members from six villages in Guadalcanal Province were trained in first aid to strengthen their ability to respond to disasters. The communities are members of World Vision’s Humanitarian Partnership Agreement Project, funded by the Australian Government.
The first aid training was carried out by Red Cross and equipped disaster committee members with the basic skills to treat injuries such as cuts and bruising; cardiac arrest;  drowning; choking and other incidents that may occur during disasters.
