Volunteering makes society softer; volunteering makes society more lovable. It's an experience that has no age, no profession, and no limits.” – Dhurata, volunteer

More than giving your time, volunteering is about hope, connection, and creating meaningful change. Volunteers across Albania are bringing hope and transformation to children, youth, and families through the EU4SocialCare programme.

Funded by the European Union and implemented by UNICEF Albania in partnership with World Vision Albania, volunteers like Dhurata, Sandra, and Alda are helping children and young people develop their skills, assisting families in need, and supporting the improvement of local social services.

“I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything, because I’ve grown so much myself, emotionally.” – Alda, volunteer in Krujë

Specialists working alongside the volunteers are thrilled by the fresh energy and ideas they bring. Their engagement is not only enriching the lives of children, youth, and families, but is also inspiring innovation and positive change within local social care services.

Through telling their inspiring stories firsthand, learn how volunteers across 14 municipalities are making a difference in their communities.
