Meet Ben and Amalia. Both came to Georgia as refugees from the Middle East and North Africa, and both had to start their lives from scratch.

With the initial support from World Vision Georgia, they were able to strengthen their language and professional skills.

After gaining substantial experience, they have established their own NGOs, supporting members of their communities — helping them adapt to a new environment, integrate into local society, and live dignified lives.

Ben works mainly with Farsi-speaking people, providing legal assistance and vocational training, and supporting them in registering and starting their own businesses to achieve sustainable livelihoods. Amalia, a single mother herself, empowers and motivates Arabic-speaking women, helping them regain confidence, develop new skills, and become independent for a brighter future. Their journeys are an inspiration to all of us.

World Vision Georgia is committed to supporting refugees through the Community Mobilisation and Participation project, financially supported by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and World Vision Nordic.
