From Limited Resources to Limitless Learning: A Digital Leap for Lupane Primary School
By Leana Padera (Communications Graduate Intern)
Lupane, Zimbabwe – At Lupane Primary School, classrooms used to feel quiet and constrained. With limited textbooks and resources, lessons were often a challenge. For many learners, access to quality education felt like a distant dream.
Now, everything is changing. Thanks to ProFuturo, the school received 48 tablets loaded with the ProFuturo Digital Education Platform, a rich learning tool filled with interactive lessons, videos, and exercises that make subjects like Science and Technology come alive. The tablets are bringing a new sense of energy, curiosity and hope to learners.
“Before the tablets, we had to share one book with several friends. Now, each of us can explore lessons at our own pace,” said one learner.
“Science used to be confusing, but now we can see experiments and understand them better. Learning has become fun,” added another learner.
Mrs. Mutanga, one of the school’s teachers, echoed the same sentiments, emphasizing how the initiative had significantly improved their learning experience.
“Lessons are more interactive. Children are asking questions, exploring, and learning with excitement. The tablets have really transformed the classroom experience.”
Mr. Moyo, the school head, highlighted the profound transformation that heave been brought by the tablets from ProFuturo.
“In 2024, our pass rate was 36% and last year it rose to 48%. With the 48 tablets and the ProFuturo platform, learners are more confident and curious. I have high hopes for 2026.”
For the children at Lupane Primary School, the tablets are more than technology, they are windows to new possibilities, inspiring dreams, building skills, bridging the digital divide and bringing hope that every child, no matter where they live, can succeed.
