World Vision’s Citizen Voice and Action (CVA) initiative is instilling hope in 16-year-old Evelyn as she aims for selection into a national boarding secondary school after the 2026 PSLCE examinations. Through improved access to learning materials, better teaching resources, and strengthened education services at her school, Evelyn’s confidence and academic performance have improved, bringing her closer to her dream of becoming a nurse.

With the right support, a Yazidi mother from Sinjar, Iraq rebuilt her life after being displaced, turning hardship into hope and stability for her family.

While visiting Rulindo District to document the story of a sponsored child named Bertin, the team discovered another story in his home. They met seven-year-old Blandine, a girl living with a disability who could neither walk nor speak and had been confined to her home for years. Due to lack of resources and hope, her condition remained untreated, and she was largely unseen. The visit shifted focus, and Blandine’s story became the one they carried forward.

World Vision’s Balm of Tenderness is now part of Peru’s national parenting policy, promoting positive, violence-free parenting for millions of children.
