Women Deliver 2023

World Vision believes that healthy, educated and empowered women and girls are change agents. When women and girls are supported, they become advocates for their rights and the wellbeing of their communities, leading to transformational change. They build social capital for themselves and for future generations.

World Vision supports women and girls by:

  • Creating awareness around the gendered causes of poor health and well-being
  • Partnering with communities, faith leaders and governments to correct adverse social norms that impact women and girls
  • Building girls and women’s advocacy skills at all stages of life so that they may advocate for their rights
  • Empowering women and girls through health, nutrition; water, sanitation and hygienelivelihoods, and education programmes to increase their economic opportunities and quality of life

About World Vision

World Vision is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organisation dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by addressing the causes of poverty and injustice.

Inspired by our Christian values, we are dedicated to working with the world’s most vulnerable people, including women and girls who are disproportionately affected by poverty. We serve all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender.
