World Vision began its first intervention in Ethiopia in 1971 with relief and opened Ethiopia office in 1975. Relief, rehabilitation and small community development projects dominated the decade that followed.  During the 1984/85 drought, World Vision Ethiopia participated in a massive relief operation that saved the lives of millions of people. After an intensive relief and rehabilitation programme, the organization developed a new integrated development approach the objective of which was to ensure empowerment and transformational change.  This approach led to the establishment of Area Development Programs (ADPs) in the 1990s that is still being implemented and continuously strengthened today.

1.    Major Responsibilities

    • Maintain Vehicle-Driver Tracking Tool/database with all the fleet utilization information on a regular basis;
    • Organize all the NO drivers’ travel expenses/periderm for approval in checking that the execution is in accordance with WVE standard procedures and legal obligations in a professional manner;
    • Serve as custodian of fuel coupons, provide to drivers and staff members authorized to drive WV vehicles and replenish on time;
    • Keeps records of extra mileage used by staff whom assigned vehicle privately in every month and submits report to the Fleet Management Manager;
    • Updates list of staff members authorized to drive WV vehicles in consultation with Fleet Management Manager;
    • Coordinate and provide logistics support with procurement, warehouse and other substantive units;
    • Maintain database recording by entering new and updated coupon, vehicle mileage and grant information etc and provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information, in a courteous, efficient and timely manner;
    • Maintain updated and well organized filling system, documentation and records of the Fleet Management office

2. Qualifications Required: BA/BSc in Logistics, Procurement & Supplies Management, Management, Business Administration and related fields

3. Work Experience and Skill required

  • Experience in Supply Chain field 3-5 years
  • Excellent computer application and lotus notes
  • 2nd grade and above driving license.
