World Vision in Malawi, through Malawi Maternal Newborn and Child Health (M-MNECH) and Malawi Literacy for Empowerment through Action Research and Networking (MLEARN), has been implementing Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) project, with funding from Global Fund through Action Aid.

The goal of the project is to reduce the incidences of HIV among adolescent girls and young women aged 15 to 24 in Mangochi. This project has been implemented from January to December, 2017, under three focal areas;

•Increase awareness of adolescent girls and young women in HIV and AIDS

•Reduce in school dropout rate

•Reduction in incidences of Gender Based Violence

The project was implemented in seven traditional Authorities of Mangochi, namely: Chimwala, Mponda, Nankumba, Chilipa, Chowe, Jalasi and Bwananyambi.
