Nearly USD 2 million aid from World Vision to Quang Tri

The program of “Development aid to Quang Tri” given by World Vision International in Vietnam has just been ratified by the provincial people’s committee on February 7, 2017.

The program aims to join hands improving the living standard of the poor, especially women and children in benefited areas through the integration of livelihood development, micro-finance, education and health, sponsorship, etc.

The program is totally funded with more than USD 1.8 million, equivalent to more than VND 41 billion, to be conducted in the districts of Dakrong, Hai Lang, Trieu Phong and Vinh Linh, with the time frame till the end of 2018.

Within the program, a few specific projects are planned to be implemented in designated areas such as reduction of mal-nutrition in children under 5, improvement of health care and education for children of ages 2-11, protection of children and adolescents under 18 from abuse, exploitation and injuries, etc.
