Vision for Transformative WASH Impact in Cambodia

The Cambodia WASH Program will continue to grow as a sector leader and partner in the government’s National Action Plan for Rural Water Supply and Sanitation. We will support the plan’s aim to achieve universal service coverage by 2030, and work toward universal service coverage in Phnum Srok in Banteay Meanchey province—connecting 42 schools and nine healthcare facilities to clean water access. We will improve WASH services at healthcare facilities to reduce disease and improve maternal and child health. We also will enhance school WASH facilities and menstrual hygiene management initiatives to foster better learning environments, especially for girls. To safeguard essential services against increasing droughts and floods, we will prioritize disaster-resilient infrastructure and link WASH services with climate-smart agriculture and water-efficient irrigation. We will partner with faith leaders to promote behavior change and environmental stewardship
