This is the seventh situation report released by the Global Hunger Response (GHR) highlighting our key concerns and ongoing impact from GHR's 26 countries of highest alert.

While much of the world was shutting down, World Vision stayed open, alongside other frontline responders, to ensure the most vulnerable children, families, and communities were served.

Within the first three months of 2021, World Vision Syria Response has reached 845,607 people including 433,555 children in Jordan, Syria and Turkey.

This paper was jointly developed by DSW, Restless Development and World Vision. It builds upon the experience of these organisations and other agencies in implementing social accountability programmes with a focus on children and young people.

Safe drinking water is critical to human health and development. In rural sub-Saharan Africa, most improved water sources are boreholes with handpumps; studies suggest that up to one third of these handpumps are nonfunctional at any given time.
