Clean Water is Vital for Children's Health

Access to clean water is critical for children’s wellbeing. Drinking unsafe water is one of the main factors of diarrheal disease, which is the second leading cause of death in children under 5 worldwide. In 2022, around 8 out of every 10 people drank unsafe water in Afghanistan.

World Vision has been present in Afghanistan for over 22 years. 369,209 people participated in World Vision Afghanistan’s WASH interventions between Aug 2021 and Jun 2023.
