"Child Protection is Non-Negotiable," says 10-year-old Patience

“I want to ask our leaders to make sure that our safety and well-being are always prioritised, everywhere, all the time,” says 10-year-old Patience. On this Day of the African Child, Patience reminds us that children’s protection is not negotiable.

No country can thrive if its foundation, its children, is broken. She calls on leaders to: 

• Prioritise child well-being in national budgets
• Invest in health, education, and protection services
• Create a safe, inclusive future for every child 

“When you protect us, you are protecting the future," says Patience.
