A Story of Survival: How Safe Motherhood Action Groups Are Changing Lives in Musosolokwe, Zambia

Meet Blessings Gift Chibeluka, born at six months and weighing just 1kg. Her survival is thanks to the dedication of Safe Motherhood Action Groups (SMAGs) and World Vision Zambia’s TTC model. 

Trained volunteer Faustina (Bana Katongo) provided vital support to Blessings’ mother, Suzanne, and even involved the father, Macknell, in antenatal care. “We are alive and well because of the knowledge and support we received,” the family says. This is the power of community-led health.
