The Joint Multi-Sectoral Early Recovery Rapid Needs Assessment was conducted in late August 2025 in response to the Cambodia–Thailand border conflict.

World Vision International in Cambodia (WVI-C) has activated a Category I National Emergency Response to address the humanitarian needs resulting from the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict. Our immediate intervention focuses WASH, education, child protection, food and non-food items to 56 safety centers with 11,727 families, comprising of 51,236 individuals (35,506 adults and elderly and 15,730 children), in Preah Vihear, Banteay Meanchey, and Siem Reap.

World Vision International in Cambodia’s humanitarian response supported more than 109,000 people across 56 displacement sites in Preah Vihear, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, and Oddar Meanchey.

We are a group of young researchers in Thailand who conducted a study to better understand how climate change and disasters affect children in our communities. Through this research, we hope to contribute to the raising of awareness on the impacts of climate change and disasters in our communities. In recent years, our country has experienced severe heat waves due to climate change. This interrupts our daily activities, including our schooling and our families’ livelihood, and has also caused us children and adults alike to experience many health problems.
