According to the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM), as of 15 January 2026, 141,850 people remain displaced across the country. While essential services have resumed in some areas, access remains limited in others. The sustainability of returns depends on continued security, restoration of basic services, and mitigation of residual risks, including explosive hazards. Field monitoring indicates that many households are likely to remain in displacement sites for a prolonged period, with some families who initially returned forced to relocate back due to housing damage, service disruption, and ongoing safety concerns in their areas of origin.

Although conditions show early signs of stabilisation, humanitarian needs persist as a result of continued displacement, service disruption, and damage to homes and critical infrastructure, particularly affecting children and other vulnerable groups. Between 11 December 2025 and 16 January 2026, World Vision International in Cambodia reached 134,140 displaced people, including 40,803 children and 2,002 pregnant and lactating women, through multi-sectoral assistance across six sectors in Banteay Meanchey, Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, Battambang, and Oddar Meanchey provinces.
