The renewed conflict along the Cambodia–Thailand border since 7 December 2025 has triggered a rapidly escalating displacement crisis across multiple provinces, including Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Siem Reap, Pursat, and Koh Kong. The conflict has involved heavy weapons and airstrikes, resulting in civilian casualties and widespread fear. Children, women, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities are among the most vulnerable, facing heightened protection risks, psychosocial distress, and disrupted access to education and basic services.

Between 11 and 14 December 2025, World Vision teams supported more than 44,600 people across 30 displacement sites through 30 child-friendly spaces, emergency WASH services, child protection initiatives, and non-food assistance, with response efforts continuing to expand as needs grow. In addition, 37 latrines and 19 water tanks were installed at displacement sites, and 1,560 non-food item (NFI) kits were distributed to affected families in Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, and Battambang. More than 1,200 affected people also received psycho-awareness training.
