Position of:Sector Advocacy Technical OfficerLocation:Phnom Penh (Advocacy Department)Salary & Benefit Package:Competitive and negotiable- THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide rich support for World Vision Cambodia (WVC) staff for capacity building and integration of advocacy into the projects and programs and help to build strong links between local level advocacy and national level advocacy through planning, monitoring and recording evidence.
- MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide capacity building and coaching for WV staff on advocacy especially local level advocacy approaches.
- Provide technical support for integration advocacy to Design Monitoring; Evaluation and documentation on best practice and action research and learning.
- Coordinate projects/program across operation to ensure quality advocacy.
- To advice and guidance on working with local level governance structures.
- Ensure local level advocacy results feed national level influence through evidence, participation in civil society networks and representing WVC at external forums.
- REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor in Public Administration and Policy (or equivalent) in Politics/Law/ Anthropology
- Excellent understanding of Cambodian Law, processes and local government structures.
- Minimum 3 years experience in managing advocacy issues or local level citizen mobilization.
- Minimum 2 years experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and report writing
- Solid understanding of government and public policy and sub-national governance processes.
- Experience in representational organization including public speaking, media interviews, and high-level meetings are the value added for this position.
- Competent in spoken and written English communication.
- Computer literate; Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willing to travel and stay overnight at project sites.
