World Vision expresses sympathy for loss of partner organisation's staff

Monday, September 14, 2020 - World Vision strongly condemns any act of violence against civilians and any humanitarian worker. We stand in solidarity with Hand In Hand, one of our partners in Northern Syria, who lost a valuable member of their team in an explosion that killed six others and injured more than 30 people. We are also deeply saddened by this tragic news as a Turkish Red Crescent humanitarian colleague had been killed and another wounded in a different attack. Both incidents happened today in two different locations in northern Syria.

We call on all parties to the conflict, which does not seem to cease, to put an end to this fighting and to the indiscriminate attacks over civilians.
