BUILDING RESILIENCE: DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND CLIMATE ACTION
Download
World Vision International in Cambodia’s “Building Resilience: Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Action” highlights efforts to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities and children against the growing impacts of climate change and disasters in Cambodia. Through integrated disaster risk reduction, climate-smart agriculture, environmental protection, and community-based adaptation, the programme supports families to better prepare for, respond to, and recover from floods, droughts, and other climate-related shocks.
The initiative promotes sustainable livelihoods, strengthens local disaster preparedness systems, restores natural resources, and empowers communities—especially children and youth—to become active agents of climate action. Working closely with government ministries, local authorities, and development partners, World Vision aligns its work with national climate and disaster management strategies to advance long-term, inclusive, and sustainable resilience for children and communities across the country.
