Hopscotch toward hygiene

With a fund from World Vision US, World Vision Afghanistan established sanitation facilities in two schools.

A solar powered water network, well-functioned toilets (dedicated toilet for MHM and disabled) with adequate water and a hand wash station.

World Vision Afghanistan also delivers water conservation education in schools, encouraging children to turn the taps off when they're not using the water.

The grey water from the hand washing stations is also channeled towards trees so that water is not wasted.

There are many schools with deplorable condition in wash and sanitation facilities in Afghanistan. Students do not eat breakfast having fear that there are no toilets, no facility to wash hands. A foul odor pervaded the entire school.

This is the project to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
