Hopscotch toward hygiene

With a fund from World Vision US, World Vision Afghanistan stablished some wash and sanitation facilities in two schools.

A solar powered water network, well-functioned toilets (dedicated toilet for MHM and disabled) with adequate water and a hand wash station.

World Vision Afghanistan also delivers water conservation education in schools, encouraging children to turn the taps off when they're not using the water.

The grey water from the hand washing stations is also channeled towards trees so that water is not wasted.

There are many schools with deplorable condition in wash and sanitation facilities in Afghanistan. Students does not eat breakfast for fear of going to the toilet, because there is no toilet at their school in some places. No facility to wash their hands. A foul odor pervaded the entire school.

This is the project to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
