World Vision Ghana has handed over teaching and learning resources, valued at $30,000, to the Ghana Education Service (GES) for distribution to more than 28 primary schools in the Kadjebi area of the Oti Region, Ghana. This donation aims to improve teaching and learning in the Kadjebi district.
It includes Akwapim Twi, Ewe and English storybooks; manila cards; assorted wall charts; Webster English thesaurus dictionaries; flashcards; 3D fruit and vegetable models; erasers; wooden puzzles featuring the alphabet, shapes and vegetables; LEGO building toys; pencils; coloured pencils; and crayons.
These resources are aimed at enriching classroom activities and improving literacy and engagement among learners.
At the official handover ceremony, Eric Opoku, Cluster Manager for the Agortime Cluster of World Vision Ghana, described the donation as “a gift from God,” made possible through the generosity of benevolent donors committed to improving the quality of education in rural communities.
“For us at World Vision, we believe that children are to live life in all its fullness, and this includes access to quality education. These items are not just tools; they are investments in the future of every child who will benefit from them. They also complement the teaching and learning interventions we’re already supporting in the Kadjebi District,” Eric Opoku added.

Dotse Gborgbotsi Alex, Chief Inspector of Schools in the Kadjebi District, received the items on behalf of the GES and expressed his profound appreciation to World Vision Ghana for their timely support.
“This donation has come at just the right time. These materials will go a long way to improve classroom teaching and motivate both teachers and pupils. We assure World Vision Ghana that these resources will be distributed equitably and put to effective use in the beneficiary schools,” he stated.

This initiative is part of World Vision Ghana’s wider commitment to education, child well-being, and community empowerment. By equipping schools with essential learning tools, the organisation is helping to close the educational gap in disadvantaged communities and ensuring that no child is left behind.
