Tinah Mukunda Steps In to Lead World Vision Ghana

World Vision Ghana has ushered in a new era of leadership with the appointment of Tinah Mukunda as its National Director, effective 1st August 2025. 

A highly respected figure in the development and humanitarian sector, Tinah steps into the role with more than two decades of proven expertise in strategic leadership, governance, programme management, and human resources poised to deepen the organisation’s transformative work across the country.

A seasoned and passionate leader, Tinah's professional journey spans both private and non-governmental organisations, having served in senior leadership roles within World Vision International since 2009. 

Her most recent appointment was as National Director for World Vision Eswatini, a position she assumed in September 2021. Prior to that, she served as Operations Director for World Vision Kenya and held several key positions at World Vision Uganda, including Interim National Director, Deputy National Director, Integrated Programme Director, and Human Resource Director.

Before joining World Vision, Tinah worked with ChildFund International as a Human Resource Manager, UGAFODE Microfinance as a Branch Manager, and served as a Project Director at Compassion International.

Her leadership credentials extend to board and governance roles as well. She previously served as a member of the Vision Fund Kenya Board under the Audit Committee and chaired the Board of the Uganda Water and Sanitation Network, representing World Vision Uganda. 

Tinah has also contributed to faith-based governance, having served as Council Secretary for St. Francis Chapel at Makerere University, Uganda. While serving in Eswatini, Tinah sat on the Business Eswatini Board of Directors, representing the NGO sector.

Tinah holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, a Master’s in Management Studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, and a Bachelor’s in Social Sciences.

Her appointment marks a significant step in World Vision Ghana’s commitment to driving transformational development and humanitarian service in the country.

Tinah Mukunda succeeds Jean-Claude Mukadi, who has been serving as the Interim National Director prior to her appointment.
