The Plight of People Displaced by Drought in Somalia

Drought

A drought-fueled internal displacement crisis: This makeshift settlement for displaced persons in Doolow, southern Somalia, hosted 546 families in April. But due to the worsening drought conditions, nearly 3,000 families now live here. As of early July, drought has displaced over 800,000 people.
