Strengthening Inclusive Education in Nepal (Sikai) Project
Supporting most vulnerable children access and participate equally in education and achieve equitable learning outcomes in basic education in Sarlahi district.
Overview
The Sikai Project is a 5-year project funded by the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) and implemented by a consortium of World Vision International Nepal, Handicap International, and World Education with implementing partner as Rastriya Rojgar Prawardhan Kendra (RRPK) in Sarlahi district. The project aims to improve access, participation and engagement in education for excluded children in and out of school, focusing on caste, disability, ethnicity and gender. The project targets to benefit 61,904 children and adults during its implementation period of July 2019 to June 2024. The total budget of the project is USD 5,505,216 and covers 58 community schools and 23 Madrasas across four rural/municipalities of Sarlahi district.
