Job Description / Responsibility
  • This position will take the lead under the guidance of Senior Manager Program Technical Support at the Regional level to provide technical support in developing and implementing the World Vision Bangladesh Economic Development Strategy including contribution to enhance the organizational capacity for effective economic development programming and promoting continual learning and innovations.
  • The position must have in-depth experience and knowledge in implementing, facilitating and contributing to economic activities in the field. Experience in design of economic and agriculture development (EAD) component in programs/projects at Regional level in alignment with the WV Bangladesh Strategy and relevant Technical Approach (TA) and mainstreaming the appropriate WV project models.
  • Be an expert in providing technical guidance for the implementation of EAD Technical Program (TP) in accordance with the relevant TA and WV project models.
  • Contribute to further capacity enhancement of the Regional program level EAD specialists and officers, in collaboration and liaison with other technical sectors, in consultation with NO EAD personnel for program quality assurance;
  • Have the ability to establish and maintain relevant networks to strengthen the public-private-NGO linkages, and collaborate at regional level for technical resources and facilities;
  • Proven capabilities in contributing to relevant assessments, reviews, studies/Operations Researches, evaluations, documentation and reporting for knowledge management.
  • Coordinate with the other Technical Team members, (Sponsorship, Advocacy, Justice & CP, Quality Impact Monitoring, Communications, DM - HEA) in bringing synergy within the team.

    Essential - BSc in Agriculture/Economic Development/Food Security/Livelihood or other relevant field of studies.

    • With an understanding of non-farm value chain, marketing and business development with minimum 5 years’ experience.
