This two-page document summarises the findings of a recent study conducted by researchers at The Water Institute at the University of North Carolina, which discovered the role of women in water committees related to the sustainability of the water system. This study discovered that women are essential water committee member, and that women struggle to remain actively and meaningfully involved. It gives recommendations on how to prioritise and encourage the active involvement of women in water committees.
