
Seyong Park
Director of Strategy & Innovation, East Asia
Seyong Park is the Director of Strategy and Innovation at World Vision East Asia, where he leads strategy, technical sector management, innovation, and organizational transformation across eight countries: Cambodia, China, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, North Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.
With a unique background spanning global finance, consulting, and international development, Seyong brings a systems-thinking approach to addressing complex challenges affecting children and communities in the region. He leads efforts to translate World Vision’s global Our Promise strategy into actionable regional priorities, strengthening cross-sector collaboration and driving innovative approaches to impact.
Seyong oversees key technical portfolios including child protection, health and nutrition, climate change, gender equality, disability inclusion, and WASH, ensuring that field offices are equipped with strategic frameworks, data, and partnerships to deliver sustainable results. His work focuses on strengthening strategy execution, improving resource allocation across countries, and fostering a culture of learning and innovation across the East Asia region.
Beyond regional leadership, Seyong contributes to several global World Vision governance and investment platforms, helping shape decisions on ministry technology, child sponsorship funding allocation, and organizational innovation.
Before joining World Vision in 2011, Seyong spent more than a decade in the private sector with Shinyoung Securities, Goldman Sachs, and McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in corporate strategy, economic analysis, and financial advisory. This cross-sector experience informs his approach to development, bridging rigorous strategy, financial discipline, and social impact.
Seyong is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a BA in Economics from Yonsei University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also studied at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan, as an exchange student.
