In 2024, the intertwined challenges of conflict, climate change, and economic uncertainty continued to heighten vulnerability for children and families across West and Central Africa. Nalukwale Community School, which once struggled with dilapidated infrastructure, has undergone a remarkable transformation. Thanks to the Community Voice & Action (CVA) accountability approach implemented by World Vision Zambia in partnership with the Education Above All Foundation’s Educate A Child programme and the Forum for African Women Educationalists of Zambia (FAWEZA), the Nalukwale community has been empowered with skills through training in the CVA model to monitor the standards of services provided. This has enabled them to advocate effectively for quality service delivery and accountability from the government.

World Vision Eswatini marks 17 years in Ekukhanyeni, raising water access to 96% and empowering families through savings groups and livelihoods.

World Vision's ongoing efforts to support Ukraine's conflict-affected populations amid continued humanitarian needs in 2025. Through multi-sectoral initiatives funded by USAID and partners, they provide vital assistance such as cash aid, water, sanitation, shelter, food security, and protection services across various regions. A key focus is on restoring dignity and resilience for vulnerable families, with recent efforts including registering nearly 4,780 beneficiaries for cash assistance in Mykolaiv, aiming to reach over 23,600 more by March 2026. Since 2023, these efforts have helped more than 2.25 million people, including over one million children, ensuring their basic needs are met and supporting their recovery despite ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
