Psychological Safety Assessment Report: Internally Displaced People
Tuesday, August 12, 2025

The report presents findings from a rapid Psychological Safety Assessment conducted by World Vision International in Cambodia on 30–31 July 2025 in three Cambodian provinces, following the Cambodia–Thailand border conflict that displaced over 172,000 people. Interviews with 274 people revealed widespread fear, anger, anxiety, and disrupted sleep, with only 35% knowing where to seek help. Children prioritised education and play materials, while adults requested food, shelter, and medical care. Recommendations urge immediate counselling, awareness campaigns, trained staff, peer support groups, and child-focused trauma recovery activities.
