Humanitarian Response Report: Displacement Crisis Caused by the Cambodia–Thailand Border Conflict (June–September 2025)
World Vision International in Cambodia’s humanitarian response supported more than 109,000 people across 56 displacement sites in Preah Vihear, Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, and Oddar Meanchey. Key interventions included the distribution of emergency food packages for 75,544 people, water and sanitation assistance reaching 60,127 people, nutrition support for 1,572 children and mothers, the establishment of 56 child-friendly spaces benefiting 1,151 children, protection and safeguarding training for 36,012 people, and the provision of shelter materials and non-food items to 109,134 people.
In partnership with the National Committee for Disaster Management, provincial authorities, and the Humanitarian Response Forum (HRF), World Vision will continue mobilising resources to implement a three-pronged approach: (1) continuing life-saving support in displacement sites with a focus on health, protection, and education; (2) enabling early recovery for returning families through cash transfers, livelihoods, and restored access to services; and (3) conducting joint assessments of returnee migrants from Thailand to inform longer-term response strategies.
