Learn more about World Vision Iraq`s dialogue with faith and community leaders on the impact of climate change on child well being. Last month, World Vision Iraq held its first dialogue session of the year on the impact of climate change on child well-being through education. The session brought together faith and community leaders from diverse religious backgrounds to discuss this pressing issue.

Iraq is among the countries most vulnerable to the severe consequences of climate change, including extreme heat and severe water scarcity. These challenges place additional strain on essential services, drive up food prices, and heighten social tensions. Through this initiative, World Vision Iraq will support faith leaders in identifying and assessing the most critical gaps and needs related to climate change’s detrimental effects on communities and child well-being. Addressing these challenges is essential to mitigating conflict drivers and fostering resilience in Iraq.
