Child marriage and underage pregnancy in northwest Syria

According to our latest report, child marriage has increased significantly in Syria due to the 10-year conflict. Children are being exposed to a number of threats including forced marriage as the population is driven to new depths of vulnerability and desperation.

Salma*, a midwife who works in a hospital that we support in northwest Syria talks to us about underage pregnancy and the difficulties young girls come across when giving birth.
