MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER - MONZE
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To assist the Area Development Program (ADP) team to setup and implement a comprehensive participatory program monitoring and evaluation system that will facilitate effective planning, implementation, performance monitoring, evaluation and accountability of all ADP-supported activities that contribute to Child well being outcomes.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate the process of planning and conducting holistic appraisals/assessments which lead to the development of integrated program and project strategies.
• Coordinate the process of developing innovative program/project strategies which integrate transformational develop, humanitarian emergency affairs and advocacy interventions.
• Assist ADP Teams to closely work with the Regional Design Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to develop and implement a LEAP-alignment plans for the ADP
• Assist the ADP staff/partners to harmonize planning and collection of monitoring data required for different systems (STEP, STEP OVC, etc) to minimize wasteful duplication of efforts
• Assist the ADP team to setup a fully functional monitoring system that will be used to plan and monitor the progress on Child Well being Outcomes of all ADP-supported projects/activities
• Assist ADP team in reviewing all Semi-annual and annual reports to ensure they are prepared using the right formats and effectively communicate the Area Development Program’s contribution to the well being of children
• Assist ADP teams/Partners to conduct monthly review meetings to discuss performance against targets for all activities, explaining any performance variances, identifying and addressing implementation challenges, documenting lessons learned and most-significant success stories and, generating consensus on targets for the next month.
• Support management and accountability through routine, accurate collection and reporting of information that confirms status of program activities based on logframes. Develop the quality control systems and mechanisms needed to guarantee proper management of information and data and identify areas of risk that might affect the program.
• Ensure proper documentation and security (both manual and electronic) of key ADP documents including use of HORIZON for Communicating, Connecting and Collaboration
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; Demography, Development Studies or equivalent
• Ability to think logically and systematically and have good organizational skills.
• Has had training in statistics and or experience in statistical analysis.
• At least two years hands on experience in monitoring and evaluation of programs, preferably related to community based rural development work.
• Experience in using Microsoft Office (word, Access, Excel).
• Computer skills in statistical software such as Epi lnfo, SPSS, etc.
• Excellent report writing skills.

• Attend and participate/lead in daily devotions and weekly Chapel Services
• Perform other duties as required
