Goals and objectives
Within the “Empowering Women for Economic Resilience” programme, women, particularly poor and socially excluded, are mobilised to obtain skills and access information, networks, economic opportunities and support services to become farmers/entrepreneurs or to join formal labor sector. The project will also ensure women and women’s groups are empowered to participate in local planning and budgeting, and greater awareness around the harmful social norms is created in the communities.
Key actions
Through this project community action self-help groups will be formed through introductory meetings, various trainings and discussions for self-help groups will be organised, short to long-term platforms will be established for LSG and women’s active groups to discuss proposals developed by women’s groups, implementation of selected community projects will be supported, based on Small Grant Scheme design.
