For the first time, the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV is considered a realistic public health goal and an important part of the campaign to achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals(MDGs) 4, 5 and 6. This document provides an overview of how World Vision can contribute to the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV through community-based interventions.
