Implementing Partners: In Armenia - WV Armenia (lead) and Global Developments Found; in Georgia - WV Georgia, Association Anika and Georgian Farmers’ Association

The project objective is to enhance the (self)-employability of young women and men with fewer opportunities in Armenia and Georgia through coordinated private-public partnerships for the development of skills on demand in the labour market in the agricultural sector.
 
The first outcome of the project is to increase the opportunities for youth to develop adequate key and professional competencies for integration in the labor market through enhanced formal and non-formal education.
 
The second outcome of the project is to strengthen support structures for youth employability at local and national levels and to enhance quality development of formal and non-formal education for fostering youth (self)-employability through cross-sectorial cooperation.

Project Achievements

• 9 WBL curricula developed, piloted and accredited by Armenian and Georgian governments

• 16 public / private partnerships established for promotion of work-based learning within and outside the project

• Total of 763 youth participated in formal (WBL) and non-formal (SKYE) learning opportunities

• Three online learning opportunities established / promoted for technical and softs skills development

• Inclusive education in VET sector review completed and published in Armenia and capacity building activities implemented in the VET sector in Georgia

• 9 start-ups funded

• Two policy recommendations presented to the GoA
