Rapid Needs Assessment Report
Friday, December 12, 2025

World Vision International Cambodia conducted a Rapid Needs Assessment on December 8–9, 2025, across 50 displacement sites in Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, and Banteay Meanchey. The process combined focus group discussions with displaced families and local authorities, secondary data review, and field observations to capture real-time conditions and urgent gaps.

The assessment revealed critical shortages in safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities, alongside inadequate food supplies and temporary shelters. Child protection concerns are severe, with heightened risks of violence and psychosocial distress, while education has been completely disrupted, leaving thousands of children without learning opportunities. These findings will guide targeted, timely interventions to address the most pressing needs.
