World Vision Armenia Turns 35
This year has been a landmark one for World Vision Armenia as the organization celebrates its 35th anniversary - a journey marked by challenges, inspiration, and remarkable achievements. Over the years, World Vision Armenia has been a beacon of hope, compassion, and change, transforming the lives of countless individuals and communities. The organization has worked tirelessly to support vulnerable families and children, paving the way for a future full of opportunities.
World Vision Armenia could not have celebrated this milestone without its loyal friends and partners, and it brought everyone together for a beautiful event dedicated to its 35th anniversary.
Symbol and Motto of the Celebration
The event’s motto was “35 Years of Changing Lives with the Wind of Hope”, symbolized by a pinwheel. Why a pinwheel? The pinwheel, featuring the colors of the Armenian flag, represented the warmth and hope that World Vision has sought to bring to its beneficiaries throughout the years.
Opening of the Celebration
The celebration began with a heartfelt video featuring children from World Vision Armenia’s Talin Daycare Center and World Vision Armenia’s Director, Raffi Doudaklian.
In his opening speech, Raffi Doudaklian highlighted the goals and values that form the foundation of World Vision Armenia’s work:
“To feel happiness or to be happy… if I had to describe our organization’s purpose in two words, it would be just that—our goal is for all children to be happy. World Vision has its formula for children’s happiness: ‘For children, for change, for life.’”
He also reflected on World Vision Armenia’s accomplishments, stating that the organization has:
Improved the quality of life for over 160,000 children.
Supported the development of 250 communities.
Contributed to legislative and systemic reforms that have improved the protection of around 500,000 vulnerable children.

Guests and Speakers of the Event
The celebration gathered numerous partners and supporters of World Vision Armenia, including donors, government representatives, and long-standing partner organizations.
The Republic of Armenia’s High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Zareh Sinanyan, praised the organization’s significance, stating:
“We are still a young state with limited resources. The gaps that exist are filled by charitable organizations, and World Vision Armenia fills a significant gap.”
Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ruben Sargsyan, also delivered a congratulatory speech, noting:
“I am confident we will continue effective collaboration, especially as World Vision Armenia’s vision aligns with the government’s vision: zero poverty, zero vulnerability.”

Looking Ahead
Despite its many achievements, World Vision Armenia reiterated its commitment to continuing its work, striving to engage and support even more beneficiaries. The journey is far from over. The future is filled with new goals and dreams yet to be realized and numerous families and communities in need of support.
The organization remains dedicated to creating a world where every child can reach their potential and find happiness, no matter the circumstances.
“We are deeply grateful to our supporters for their unwavering support, invaluable contributions, and faith in our mission. With your help, we will continue to be beacons of hope, shaping a brighter, more compassionate, and prosperous world,” said the Director of World Vision Armenia in closing.
Congratulations, World Vision Armenia, for 35 years of unity, compassion, and solidarity!
