The Unlock Literacy Project improves reading among children

Friday, May 6, 2022

The 'Unlock Literacy' project came up as a result of the reading deficit among children in the Afram Plains district, to help enhance their reading skills. The situation before was such that children could not read using letter sounds and also in their mother tongue, which helps children to read better and faster.

With the immense support of relevant stakeholders such as the Ghana Education Service, traditional rulers, community members and leaders, World Vision was able to implement the project successfully, which translated into the improvement of the reading capabilities in children. We hope that the right measures will be put in place to sustain the project so that more children can receive improved and quality education for the good of this nation and for a better future.
