Dakar, Senegal - In a powerful gathering of purpose, passion, and partnership, nine countries from across the West Africa Region came together for this year’s World Vision Communications and Advocacy Forum, a dynamic platform designed to strengthen voices, build influence, and drive meaningful action for children.

Guided by the compelling theme, “Activating Voice, Influence and Action for Children,” the forum served as a catalyst for bold ideas and collaborative strategies aimed at amplifying the voices of the most vulnerable. It underscored the essential role of communication and advocacy in advancing child wellbeing, deepening sponsorship impact, and shaping continental partnerships across Africa.

A Week of Insight, Innovation, and Collaboration

Facilitated by the World Vision West Africa Regional Office (WARO), the forum featured an engaging lineup of sessions that brought together national, regional, and global perspectives. Communications and advocacy experts, alongside National Directors, shared practical insights, innovative approaches, and inspiring stories of transformation from their respective contexts.

Participants explored how strategic storytelling, digital engagement, and community-driven advocacy can influence policy, mobilise resources, and ultimately improve the lives of children across the region.

It served as a timely reminder of the transformative power of communication and advocacy not just as tools, but as essential drivers of sustainable development. By embracing culturally relevant storytelling and nurturing strong relationships with sponsors, donors, and partners, World Vision continues to expand its impact across communities.
