Staff of World Vision Ghana held a Christmas Carols and Thanksgiving Service at the premises of the organisation, bringing together management and staff to reflect on the year, give thanks, and celebrate the Christmas season.

The service, which was characterised by moments of worship, carol singing and reflection, provided an opportunity for staff to pause from their daily responsibilities and express gratitude for life, work and collective achievements over the year.

The service included an exhortation by Bishop Dennis Adjei Gyan of Light House Chapel, who spoke on the theme, reminding participants that true peace comes from Christ and should guide our lives even in challenging times.

Delivering the key message at the service, the National Director of World Vision Ghana, Dr Tina Mukanda, encouraged staff to maintain an attitude of gratitude in all circumstances. She urged employees to give thanks at all times, emphasising that life itself is a reason for gratitude.

“Give thanks in all circumstances because you are alive,” Ms Mukanda stated, adding that contentment is essential to personal fulfilment and emotional well-being. She explained that gratitude opens doors to joy and helps individuals remain grounded, even in challenging moments.

The National Director further noted that a grateful mindset has a positive impact on the environment around an individual. “A happy person creates a happy environment,” she said, encouraging staff to consciously spread positivity within the workplace.

Dr Mukanda also called on staff to extend this attitude beyond the office, urging them to carry an attitude of gratitude to their homes and return to work with the same mindset. According to her, cultivating gratitude both at home and at work strengthens relationships and enhances teamwork.

The Christmas Carols and Thanksgiving Service ended with staff reaffirming their commitment to the values of World Vision Ghana, as they reflected on the year and prepared for the Christmas season with renewed joy and purpose.
