No More Mothers Should Grieve: World Vision Zambia's Fight Against Malaria
"I lost my child at only eight months to malaria. The pain of losing a child to a preventable and treatable disease is devastating," recalls Felistus, a mother from Zambia.
Felistus's story is one of many that reflect a harsh reality facing families across the country, children dying from diseases that do not have to be fatal.
World Vision Zambia stands with mothers like Felistus in a renewed commitment to change this reality. In partnership with Malaria Partners Zambia and the Ministry of Health, World Vision Zambia is bringing life-saving treatment for malaria, diarrhoea, and pneumonia directly to the households of those who need it most.
Trained community volunteers deliver care at the doorstep, ensuring that no family is left without access to treatment because of distance, cost, or lack of information. This work is made possible through the Rotary Health Communities Challenge, supported by the Rotary Foundation, World Vision US, and the Gates Foundation.
