East Africa
World Vision East Africa
World Vision East Africa works alongside communities to help children, families, and systems thrive across nine countries: Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda, supported by a committed workforce of over 6,800 staff across the region. Grounded in deep local presence and strong partnerships, our work responds to East Africa’s most urgent humanitarian, advocay and development priorities.
The region faces complex and overlapping challenges, including chronic poverty, food insecurity, climate‑related shocks, conflict and displacement, public health threats, and persistent barriers to children’s protection and well-being. These pressures continue to place millions of children at risk. In response, World Vision East Africa partners with governments, communities, United Nations, faith actors, and civil society to influence and deliver integrated, locally led solutions from emergency response and climate resilience to health, education, child protection, and sustainable livelihoods so that every child can survive, thrive, and reach their God‑given potential.
