Achieving a world of child health now means tackling the root causes that prevent a child from living a full and healthy life. Hunger and poor nutrition (caused by not consuming the proper nutrients and vitamins needed to grow and develop properly) are a major contributor to poor child health and preventable child deaths. Every year 3.1 million children under-five die of preventable causes in which poor nutrition is an underlying cause.

On World Food Day (16 October) nearly 400,000 youth in 14 countries around the global are telling the story of how they unite for a common cause through the World Vision Famine movement: Fighting for a hunger-free world.

World Vision youth will 'stop at nothing' until every child is free of hunger.
