As frameworks for improving maternal and child health, such as Every Woman Every Child and Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN), have been established on a global level, this report provides information to facilitate the implementation of these programs on a national level, particularly in developing countries. It is the responsibility of civil society, multilateral organisations, academia, and other groups to hold national governments accountable and support their programmes in this area. Governments that have set goals and made promises to better support women and children in developing countries may need additional pressure to follow through. This report outlines the programmes available and provides guidelines on advocating for maternal and child health on a national level.
